Soul.S born in Birmingham - UK is one of the most promising producers to hit the music - arena worldwide in an age. Soul has great attuned ears and respect for all music and musical styles from all over.

Currently living in Wolverhampton - UK, Soul is working on his next musical offering, utilising and merging every different style of Popular music including: HipHop, RnB, Elektro, Latino, Bhangra, Dance, Classical Indian and European classical - merged/fused, Grime (UK Street HipHop) Baseline, Sufi, Visual Film Music -

Biography

Soul Sohpal born in Birmingham - United Kingdom -

came from very humble beginnings. At the earliest age Soul was intensely creative, by the time he was 8 years of age he regularly won school talent competitions for his work with paint and pencil. His work featured regularly on the school's massive displays boards mostly consisting of the Greek Gods or Portraits etc.

All of this came to an abrupt stop after the death of his mother when he was at the tender age of 12. His mother (a single mother) was violently killed in a racially motivated attack which took her life, she was 38 years of age.

Soul's creative life after this trauma was to be put on hold, as he was flung into all manner of residential care situations, which were all unsuccessful.

At the age of 17, Soul decided to finally become his own man (who could blame him) and started looking after himself - independence. By the time Soul was 24 he had taken himself through University where he studied a BA Hons in Drama, Philosophy and Electronic Media. Before during and after his Degree, Soul had been 'dabbling' a lot! with music and fusion. He'd already trained himself up in the workings of Digital and Analogue studio environments, and proceeded to build his very own - as well as for clients to source income.

He continued working in and out of the music industry supporting artists and recording them for their own projects, but always felt like he really had something of his very own to share. His Next album is a further step up in pure energy and is aimed predominantly at every dance culture worldwide. Soul is also keeping in with the whole visual music industry, and hopes to secure more and more interest from the commercial T.V and film industry. Favorite Urban Producers/artists: JayZ, Guru, Nas, Tupac, Dr.Dre, Eminem, Leona Lewis - the list is very long.
Favorite Pop producers/artists: George Michael, Prince, Simon Cowell.

Soul appreciates every style of music and produces them. Everthing from Ragga, to Soul, HipHop to Country, Classical to Indian classical -sa-re-ga-ma. Including fusion.

Reviewed by Rolling Stone and countless others internationally - Sohpal tipped as having the flare and creativity of early "mezzanine" era Massive Attack, Natacha Atlas & 70's cult pop icons including Serge Gainsbourg, is certainly setting his groove to an international audience. After starting Soul & Mind Productions (www.soulandmind-productions.com) Sohpal's next move was to establish another label that would be used for all artists involved in collaborations with his music from all over the world as well as in his native England.

"But I've seen just as many of you have, how much easier it has become thanks to the internet to establish yourself.
