Hello everyone, I just finished reading a book that was recommended to me......"The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. I haven't read anything except nonfiction for a long time, and this is basically fiction built on the scaffolding of a lot of history and philosophy. I read the book over the Thanksgiving holiday because it was recommended to me by one of my very best and truest friends, someone I trust "the most" of all the people I know.
Here is ONE INTERESTING BRIEF QUOTE from the book -- Chapter 13…

When I was 13 years old, I was in surgery for appendicitis when my appendix ruptured during the surgery. My first memory is that of seeing a silver dome below me, later realizing this was the top of the operating room light. I saw the medical team working on my physical body and sensed their "panic" and sincere concern for me. I k…

I just don't believe that any kind of real lasting peace and condition permitting the development of ongoing harmonious relationships in this world CAN EXIST unless we are first committed, as human beings, to pursuing some kind of objective truth. If we can't get to 100% truth, because of the nature of "each of us perceiving reality through our own personal lens" -- then -- we can GET AS CLOSE TO OBJECTIVITY AS IS POSSIBLE -- AS CLOSE TO THE TRUTH AS POSSIBLE.
I believe the pursuit of truth --…

What, exactly, is so compelling about this book, in my opinion?
The author spent an enormous, and I mean a tremendous/humongous -- amount of time studying every conceivable bit of documentation regarding the two legal trials conducted when Michael Jackson was accused of a broad range of "indecent behavior." She started out as a journalist who was firmly in the camp which believed Jackson was culpable. She acted as a completely independent journalist, not affiliated with a major news source. Thr…

I have been slowly working my way through the numerous books being widely marketed about Michael Jackson since the day of his death.
And I have something which I feel absolutely URGENT about saying.
Right at this moment, I am two-thirds of the way through "The Michael Jackson Conspiracy" by Aphrodite Jones.
I HAD TO SPECIAL ORDER THIS BOOK AND WAIT TWO WEEKS FOR IT TO ARRIVE IN THE BORDERS BOOK STORE IN DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON, which had all the other books in stock and highly visible -- for sale…

BELOW ARE MY OPINIONS -- A FAIRLY RECENT REFORMULATION -- OF SOME IDEAS ABOUT PEACE IN THE WORLD.
Here are a couple of well-known "sayings" which are almost "cliche" at this point in time --- but I feel like writing some personal observations from recent life experiences about the relationship between "one person" and "many or all people," -- and the effects of the ACTIONS of one person on many and/or all people.
"THINK GLOBAL/ACT LOCAL. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE."
I used to be in…

thanks Linda for your words regarding heaven on earth..
I fell myself honored to have my music used by great musicians like Mr Eaton, and this important
organization to help, in any way, to give a message of peace.
His Cantata is amazing, and the singers did a fantastic job - hope this project grow
and receive help and collaboration from many another artists in the world.
Honored to meet you Linda, and hope we can debate, discuss about how important
is have our planet free from troubles and…

Maybe that is why I became so incredibly "smitten" with Michael Jackson when I began to really tune into his dancing -- to the point of becoming an extremely belated "diehard fan."
When I was a very small child, I was taken to ballet classes, like so many little girls. I was ENTHRALLED with dancing and was apparently doing quite well in the class.
BUT -- we moved away from where the ballet school was accessible. The next thing I stumbled into -- which tapped the same "core spot" in my essentia…

If you cared or care about Michael Jackson, I'm giving you a link to what I think is one of the greatest pieces of writing I have seen about him. I think it is NEW === it is from Larry King's site.
http://larrykinglive.blogs.cnn.com/2009/09/01/michael-jackson-how-little-we-knew/
It doesn't "skirt issues" or have a "particular spin." It is, in my opinion, just a "searching for the Truth" GREAT PIECE OF WRITING.
Michael Jackson will be formally buried tomorrow. I have found myself emotionally g…

"Introspection II" is the fifth section, and second with vocals, of "The Chrome Lake." And as is the case for its almost-but-not-identical twin "Introspection I," the subject matter is pretty much self-explanatory.

"Heaven on earth"
VERSE I
We have to change the way we live
We have to change the way we think
If you can change I can do the same
together we`ll make the world a better place
CHROUS
Is the world where people live in peace
No wars to fight over seas
Is heaven on earth
A world where love overflows
Where hatreds gone no one knows
Is heaven on earth
VERSE II
If we set aside our differences
We`re more alike than it seems
This world of ours can exist
It could be the one we`re…
